How Does T.E.N.S work?
 
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators (T.E.N.S) generate electrical impulses that are sent through the electrodes which can be strategically placed over nerve centres. Pain signals to the brain are blocked by the T.E.N.S. interrupting the brains awareness of pain. Stimulation of the nerve centres may activate endorphins which are used by the body to suppress pain naturally.  This T.E.N.S therapy can relieve chronic or acute pain such as back pain, sciatica, sports strains & sprains, muscle injuries and aching joints.
 
Dual Channel T.E.N.S
 
The Home Masseur is a dual channel TENS device and should not be mistaken for a single channel device.  With a dual channel device you can use 4 electrodes simultaneously, instead of just 2 electrodes as with the single channel devices.  This enables you to give pain relief to a much wider area of the body and is ideal for use on the back, shoulders, arms and legs.  This device also comes with a pot of specialist massage cream that is specifically designed to aid the effectiveness of the TENS treatment.
 
Massage Modes
 
There are three massage modes which are rubbing, tapping and kneading, these modes are sometimes referred to as burst, normal and modulation.  The 3 massage modes can be experienced as part of the automatic programs, or can be controlled manually by selecting the mode and then adjusting the strength as desired.
 
Automatic Programs
 
The four automatic programs use a combination of the 3 modes, (rubbing, tapping & kneading), at varying strengths, and are designed to target specific areas of your body: Shoulders, Waist/Back, Joints, Hands/Feet.
