The hotel we have chosen in Bauang is situated right on the beach and if you like swimming this is the place. The water temperature usually is around 28C and very pleasant indeed. A long sandy beach with very few tourists can be accessed just outside the hotel.
The hotel provides deck chairs and if you are the type to do nothing all day and just lie down in the sun, you will enjoy the setting.
Those of you who are a little more active may want to experience Scuba diving with a qualified instructor next door to the hotel.
Local fishermen will be keen to take you a boat ride away to "White sand" or to "100 islands". Your lunch for the day will be fished during the trip and barbecued fish cooked by the fishermen can be enjoyed at your destination.
The town of San Fernando is only a few miles away and can be accessed by hiring a trike (motorbike with sidecar) or by taking the local Jeepney (minibus). The market is well worth a visit and many bargains can be had in San Fernando.
Lunch is at the hotel restaurant overlooking the beach
or at another local place.
The evenings are free and visitors sometimes meet to practice healing, talk, meditate, have a drink or go out.
Sunset is fantastic and well worth a few pictures.
